Which Weight Loss Program Works for YOU?
Calories In - More Calories Out = Weight Loss
Simple, right?
Just expend more than you take in.
Just reduce your portion sizes.
Just walk 10,000 steps a day.
Everybody has an answer, and it’s always easy. Just … do this … and …
You know what? It’s NOT easy. It’s NOT simple. It’s NOT a matter of JUST eating all the right foods and exercising an hour every day and the weight is gone. We’ve tried it and we KNOW – it’s tough, and it’s complicated.
Maybe you’d like to walk 10,000 steps every day, but you can’t remember to attach that silly pedometer. Maybe you’ve tried counting calories and it’s too complicated or too time-consuming. Maybe you wouldn’t know a three-ounce portion of chicken if it hit you in the side of the head.
The truth is – different methods work for different people. If you don’t want to count calories, we’ll figure out another method. If you don’t want to go to the gym, we’ll suggest other options. If you hate working on this alone, we’ll offer suggestions for doing it with others.
Our job is to help you find the approach that works for YOU.
OK, back to the beginning for a minute. There really is only one way to lose weight – you have to use up more calories in a day than you take in.But, there are many different approaches to doing that. Ideally, weight loss involves two components:
1. Eating healthy foods in healthy amounts
2. Exercising
"I hate going to the gym! I feel so intimidated by all those skinny people!”
"I don’t know which foods are healthy and which aren’t!”
"Rice cakes and fat-free yogurt are disgusting!”
Calm down – we’re not going to force you to go to the gym or eat rice cakes or do anything that’s truly awful for you. We will take you out of your "comfort zone,” but we’re going to do it in a way that suits YOUR needs.
Which of these statements suits you best?
Eating right is easier for me than exercising.
Exercising is easier for me than eating right.
I want to lose weight, but eating right and exercising are both really hard for me.
I think eating right and exercising are both pretty easy – I just don’t know where to start.
